       Mark Surridge lost the toss but Nomads were soon rewarded with a wicket first ball of the match. Unmish Pathasarathi who first played for Nomads when a youngster of 14 is now an accomplished batsman. His bowling suffers from a rada problem and the slips had just warned 'keeper Richard Fanthorpe when Unmish ran in and bowled one right on target, 1-0. Proctor and Nash were unfazed by the early loss of a wicket and only when Lamb had replaced Surridge did the second wicket fall at 70 and then mantha improbably had Nash caught on the square leg boundary.
   Veteran Charlton Lamb kept one end quite for a long time with his cunning floaters but at the other end East Horsley made progress as Nomads sped through their overs.The mid order added 54 for the next wicket and another 24 after that. Then a useful undefeated partnership for the seventh wicket took the home side's total to 198 and a declaration at tea. Nomads had a pretty strong line up and despite some wireworks from Prakash who was very sever on fast man Newman nomads found themselves 88-7.
   Lamb now joined Ravi Mantha and these two comfotably added 83. just as nomads scented victory lamb missed a straight full toss and was bowled then Mantha followed playing an ambitiuos shot off the same bowler Newman who had returned more profitbly than in his opening spell. Maloney joined Fanthorpe and these two hung on solidly for a draw in what had been a very good game of contrasting fortunes.
   Nomad visitors at this match were the wives of Unmish, Ravi and Paul Maloney plus Paul's daughter Julia all of whom enjoyed the fine display of cakes at tea.
