With one over to go Hurlingham need 11 to win and Nomads required one wicket. One run off the first ball from James While brought Paul Wheeler number 11 to face.A shout for lbw was turned down and then Paul stalwarted resisted all the next four balls to draw the match. Not quite the excitement of the morning at Edgbaston but a tense finish none the less'

Both clubs had struggled to field an eleven.Nomads suffered five late withdrawals, three to injury and a fourth to alcohol significantly including wicket keeper batsman Keith Alexander. So thanks to Kamlash and Rakesh Patels,Richard Fanthorp and Russell Mann.@Hurlingham had to make 45 calls to raise XI.

Nomads won the toss and elected to bat despite the overhelming distraction of the match atEdgbaston.Charles Fellows-Smith earphones glued to test match special shouted out the score as Jeremy Lascelles faced Hurlingham's young fast bowler Roundall. Roundall was definitely club very fast and enjoyed the short delivery.Jeremy suffered the indignity of missing most deliveries and taking most of the rest on his body until yorked much to his own relief.

Jemile and While then countered Roundall well with few runs accruing before Jemile was adjudged lbw for an appeal for acatch and departed very disgruntled for 24.The innings gained momentum with any Stokes at the crease but he chased an awful wide long hop and was well caught by gully for 20 ten minutes before lunch. The interval came with Nomads soundly based at 125-3.
