Spanking ton from Hoare but WOW those Extras

zx

A tremendous innings from Karl Hoare saw Nomads home to a comfortable victory at Oxford Downs relocated ground. That Nomads had to make that number was due to the astonishing number of extras conceded by Nomads' stand in 'Keeper. Keith Alexander once again failed to make it to Standlake.

Somewhat helped by the radar wanting nomads bowling Crouch and Sandbatch took the total to 171 whereupon the latter's run out sparked another three before the declaration came.

'Doc' Bell set about the bowling straight away for a quick opening 54 runs which including an enormous six. Despite his dismissal triggering two more the stalwart batting of Rus Mann maintained an excelleant foil to Hoare whose assault gained ever greater momentum finishing with a flurry of sixes. His innings included 15x4s and 6 x 6s.

Both sides were a little tardy in compleeting a full squad hence the limited number of overs. Nomads only won with an over to spare! Master Bell fielded like a tyro making his dad very proud.!
